About CaroMont Health's Mobile Mammography Bus

The CaroMont Regional Medical Center's Mobile Mammography Bus provides lifesaving 3D breast cancer screenings directly to patients, regardless of their insurance status. Now approaching its 10th year, the bus serves approximately 3,000 patients annually, making it a vital resource for accessible and compassionate care in Gaston County. Thanks to a grant from the CaroMont Health Foundation, the mobile unit helps cover screening costs for underinsured and uninsured patients, increasing compliance with annual screenings. 

One hundred percent of the funds raised at A Celebration of Hope and Health will go toward the long-term goal of replacing the Mobile Mammography Bus.
